I stumbled upon this article and thought it brought up some interesting topics, specifically in regards to this class and European identity. It is primarily about the UK's anger towards the slow negotiations in the acceptance of Turkey into the EU. David Cameron, the prime minister of the United Kingdom feels very strongly about this issue as he claims it would be the link into the Middle East. 3 months ago I would have read this article and thought nothing of it. Now I look at Europe in a whole new light. How does this article identify Europe? How does it look at the EU? What would it mean if Turkey were to join and why is the UK such a strong advocate, as opposed to France?
